The Cloud Server Infrastructure (CSI) team is seeking a motivated software engineer who is passionate about software development for hardware validation and would like to translate this passion into reality through development of test automation to validate industry leading FPGA technologies. Azure FPGA building blocks are at the core of Microsoft Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) businesses. We are seeking engineers to help our team scale automation systems to support engineering efforts across multiple teams. We are leveraging Azure and VSTS/VSTest as well as internally developed software tools to build reliable and repeatable hardware validation systems in both Windows and Linux environments. This role offers a wide variety of challenges and incredible learning opportunities across multiple areas of Cloud services such as Networking, Storage, AI/ML and several other teams across Azure. Develop automation for the validation and qualification of server hardware platforms and components Design and develop test cases for server hardware validation Run test cases on large pool of servers and analyze the data Document and present findings to hardware and software architects Interact with multiple software and hardware teams internal and external to Microsoft
Software development for hardware test or firmware experience Software development experience in one or more of the following: C#, C/C++, Powershell, Java script, Python, TCL .NET/.NET Core, Entity Framework/EF Core, ASP.NET/ASP.NET Core Windows Server and Linux automation EDA Tool experience a plus Solid debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills Server and Networking hardware experience a plus FPGA development or test experience a plus Windows driver development a plus A BA or MS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience Microsoft is a highly innovative company
