Tens of thousands of customers worldwide, ranging from large commercial enterprises, federal and state governments, regulated industries like healthcare and finance, to small start-ups have moved from batch to streaming with Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, and we are just getting started.We are seeking an experienced product manager for Amazon Kinesis Data Streams. As a Senior Product Manager (Technical) you will drive product management for the service and how it works within the diverse ecosystem of streaming data and analytics services at AWS. You will own driving the feature roadmap on behalf of our customers in partnership with a highly-talented engineering team to focus energies on the most important things for the business. You will also be a business owner, working closely with finance, marketing, business development, technical field community, and product management peers to ensure the service has the right positioning, messaging, and enables compelling use cases across AWS’ overall big data platforms. You will drive the rhythm of the business and ensure delivery to support business goals.
Our ideal candidate is excited about technologies and services within the real-time streaming data space. You are naturally customer centric – working backwards from their needs, and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment and communication skills. This leader will need to exhibit excellent decision making -- prioritizing between existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence. You are a strong business owner who is comfortable sharing their vision with AWS senior leadership, but also working closely with engineering teams to dive deep into details to make ideas into reality.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
Extended Qualifications
- MBA, or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent- Knowledge of batch and streaming data architectures like Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Storm, Beam
- Experience managing start-up products (under $1 MM/ year revenue) and large products ($1B/ year revenue)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
