You will spearhead product strategy and partner closely with in-house Engineering, Science and Economics teams, to build new products/features to delight customers and deliver multi-million cost savings. This role has a combination of white space opportunity and known but highly complex priorities, and the successful PMT will be able to navigate a broad set of stakeholders and requirements with ease.
Key job responsibilities
- Own product vision and roadmap for inventory optimization of Grocery business (including physical stores and online sales)
- Partner with Software Development, Research Science and Data Engineering teams to build new features, and develop new Machine Learning models to help reduce supply chain cost and improve profitability.
- Develop detailed business requirements that can be used to create software product specifications and design.
- Create buy-in for product vision both internally and externally and evangelize that vision.
- Manage delivery of current products concurrently with future product planning.
- Own strategic and operational product communications including developing and reporting on key metrics.

About the team
Optimal Inventory Health (OIH) is a key part of Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) - the decision engine behind Amazon's supply chain (watch this fun video about SCOT: https://youtu.be/ncwsr1Of6Cw). Every day, OIH systems look at every item sold by Amazon and our Selling Partners worldwide to determine if we like the inventory levels, and if not, do something about it. We use large-scale optimization and machine learning models to maximize the net present value of inventory, driving actions such as promotions, as well as driving customers to find the products they want at prices they love through various channels, including search and ads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Extended Qualifications
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Master's degree
- Experience working with ML based supply chain optimization products

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
