We are looking to fill a Production Engineering Manager (Level K) position at the Boeing Auburn Fabrication site with a qualified and passionate leader in Emergent Operations.
Candidates considered for the role will lead a team performing Engineering roles (NC Programming, Technical Design). Emergent Operations supports customers across the Boeing Enterprise, so adaptability and the ability to learn quickly are essential. We are looking for a leader who brings new perspectives, curiosity, and creativity when approaching challenges, and an insatiable desire for improvement and customer support.
Technical leadership and aptitude are essential for success in this role, along with the people leadership skills to develop and inspire a diverse team to reach a shared goal and vision. Strong candidates will have demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers, as well as strong problem-solving skills, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work across multiple functions to lead the development and implementation of production system solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leads teams responsible for performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
3+ years of experience in a professional engineering role
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership"
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working in a production environment
3 + years of experience with production systems design
Experience in leading or managing teams
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Experience with build plan development and deployment
Experience with CNC machining processes
