Description
Own the engagement with a range of customers (i.e., external Google Cloud Platform and internal Google product areas) to understand their capacity needs and work with them to optimize their storage footprints. Drive development and secure buy-in for a product outlook that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction. Partner across Capacity Planning, Product, and Engineering teams to align capacity planning and ordering workflows. Develop a deep understanding of industry trends and emerging competitors to ensure Google’s sustained leadership in the infrastructure-as-a-service space.At Google, we put our users first. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$278,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.). 3 years of experience developing or launching products within storage, infrastructure, or capacity planning areas.
Preferred qualifications: 10 years of experience in infrastructure-related service product management with a technical understanding of storage and compute. Experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting) owning business case work and ROI frameworks. Experience delivering technical presentations to executive leadership and serving as a strategic advocate for technical product lines. Ability to deeply engage with engineering leadership on architecture (e.g., HDD/SSD trends) and features, translating complex technical truths into clear business benefits.
Extended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
