In Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Finance, we are driving shareholder value in 54 subsidiaries and 120 Sales locations and carry the local accountability for the financials, as well as statutory and compliance matters across all Microsoft commercial segments and products.

As a Group Finance Manager, Azure Solution Area, you will partner with the business and finance to make strategic decisions through educating, driving, and implementing financial thinking around revenue today and business models for the future. Finance plays an integral part in developing growth strategies along with providing clarity to the sales team to drive tactical and financial/strategic execution of Microsoft’s business priorities.

Responsibilities

Prioritize

Support rhythm of the business across all the stakeholders with efficiency and effectivenessDrive understanding of business health through deep analytics and incorporating industry and customer level insightsProvide actionable insights to the business to ensure execution of plans and accountability for resultsSupport CFO (Chief Financial Officer) forecast and budgeting process to land growth commitments with clear assumptions and drivers; Understand and manage business risk

Partnership

Communicate results and insights to leadership in a compelling and crisp manner with deep understanding of the businessDrive actions with stakeholders to achieve business goals, including revenue generation, resource allocation, and investment decisions through close collaborationLead on-going efforts to develop and evolve our insights framework with key partners across finance and business to stay up to date with the business need and land growth opportunityDeliver impact by building on the work of others, aligning people and resources, and fostering shared accountability

Protect

Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes; Drives corrective measures; Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policiesCollaborates with Compliance groups to ensure team is current on company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.3+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.3+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.3+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.Proven team player and collaborator who has demonstrated solid energy in ambiguous situations; Ability to handle a high degree of ambiguity and fast paced change management.Expertise in financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, planning, reporting, and developing financial models.Solid attention to detail and accuracy, as well as communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple groups; Responsive with solid customer service orientation.

#Finance

Financial Analysis IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
