Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Procurement Field Representative to join our Renton Vendor Assistance team in Renton, Washington or Seattle, Washington.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and diverse team. In this role, you will partner with our Senior Leadership team on program management and strategic business transformation initiatives, to make the company stronger, more competitive and more resilient long term. You will have the chance to define and lead program and project management best practices. You will help drive business planning and decision making, operations, and business insights up and down the Renton Vendor Assistance team.
This role is primarily second (2nd) shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity
Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance
Communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns
Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements. Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance
Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy
Monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent
Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes, both reporting back to management and making recommendations to procurement agent
Assesses supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent. Supports work movement as requested by supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
6+ years of experience in a supply chain role managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
6+ years of experience working with suppliers to develop a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements
Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able and willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in performing aircraft manufacturing operations in one or more of the following domains: Assembly, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Assurance or Flightline environment
5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
