Description
Lead collaboration with partner teams (e.g., engineers, Program Managers, UX) by owning Product Requirements Document (PRDs) throughout the product design process. Define and oversee definition of product roadmaps. Develop and secure buy-in for a product goal that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction, achieving an outcome that is greater than the sum of its parts. Oversee validation of market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, strategic opportunity, business). Guide the team through defining, identifying, collecting, and tracking appropriate product or business metrics, both quantitative and qualitative for new or existing products or business ventures.At Google, we put our users first. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. As a Group Product Manager, you will lead a team of Product Managers tasked with evolving our core serverless engine into a fully autonomous compute platform. This isn't just about managing infrastructure, it’s about building a product that self-optimizes, self-secures, and self-scales to meet the massive demands of Agentic AI workloads from customers. You will be responsible for the "Brain" of the platform: compute, workload management, observability, security, and the packaging and pricing.
In this role, you will not only define the technical strategy for a unified data platform but also build the organization capable of delivering it. You will be responsible for hiring talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and guiding the career growth of your direct reports.

US: $240000 - $334000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role. 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc). 5 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within databases, analytics, big data, or a related area. 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a technology or business related field. 7 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders. 7 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting). 5 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership. 5 years of experience in software development or engineering. Knowledge of, or continued interest in building accessibility best practices, and experience/curiosity for incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies.
