The rise of digital content and ubiquitous access of technology is driving institutions to rethink how they teach and test, and bring about new opportunities to ensure students today develop the skills they need to be successful in the future. In what is one of the most important and strategic verticals in the education business at Microsoft, we are looking for an experienced leader to drive our education audience sales engagement/programs. This is a senior role, requiring proven education and business experience, as well as exceptional people leader skills. The role reports directly to the Vice President of Education and will lead a team of audience focused business strategy leaders who drive engagement with school leaders, educators, faculty and education officials. Engage with senior leaders in education organizations and governments around the world sharing Microsoft's point of view in education and ensuring trusted relationships with our key accounts Establish presence, be seen as, and present as a leading influencer in education industry events, elevating Microsoft's market perception/thought leadership in market. Work closely with the K-12 and Higher Education strategy leaders to create, refine and share Microsoft's transformation resources aligned to audience within each vertical Manage strategic collaborations such as WE.org and TEACH Develop audience
10+ years working experience in senior leadership roles, with education experiences in K-12 or HED Extensive knowledge of the education industry with particular focus on K-12 vertical Experience in people leadership role with proven examples of coaching team to reach success Exceptional presentation skills and storytelling capability to deliver keynotes with large audiences Demonstrable experience collaborating and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups. Ability to work successfully across a complex, highly-matrixed environment Excellent skills in all aspects of planning, communications,
