The Market Intelligence Team within Microsoft Advertising is responsible for generating competitive, and market insights to shape a world class ad monetization engine for Microsoft and our partner publishers. We work with all groups driving monetization improvements including engineering, customer-service operations, advertising sales, marketing, and product management to enable rigorous, effective, and data-driven decision making. If you are a strategic thinker who is eager to transform the digital advertising industry, excels at framing complex problems, this is the role for you. We are currently seeking an experienced Business Strategy Manager who will assess external market and economic conditions and will recommend strategic priorities and investments that will enhance Microsoft's competitive value proposition. This position will contribute immediately to high-profile projects with executive visibility. Work is inclusive of, but not limited to, evaluation of emerging business opportunities,

Collect, examine, and present financial, operational, and other data that provides insight on competitive intelligence and actions Prepare reports and offer interpretation of economic and digital advertising market trends, including new business recommendations and competitive moves Present competitive performance across partner groups and senior leadership Perform research on key industry, competitive and market information to inform high-level business cases and detailed analysis Construct and work within strategic frameworks to develop and analyze recommendations on partnerships, projects, and
7-10 years of experience in one or more of the following: strategy/management consulting, market research, product management, business planning, financial modeling, economics, Media/Advertising Strong finance background with demonstrated performance in creation/execution of financial and business models and ability to quickly understand complex data sets Understanding and interest in e-commerce and online advertising preferred Superior communications skills, both verbal and written and ability to engage with business partners and executives to drive key decisions.
