Amazon is seeking a motivated candidate to identify, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements that redefine the standards for customer experience in our North American transportation network. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver shipments from our fulfillment centers and third party locations to customers worldwide. As a Transportation Manager, you will analyze the delivery performance across the North American transportation network, identify improvement opportunities and then take business improvement programs from inception to successful implementation. This involves but is not limited
· 4+ years of supply chain or operations experience · Bachelor degree in Business, Management or other technical field · Advanced knowledge of Excel, Unix, Visual Basic and/or other programming languages · Statistical data analysis via Excel, Minitab and/or JMP · Understanding of Transportation and Logistics Network Design · 2+ years of proven experience using Six Sigma methodologies to analyze and improve operational processes · MBA in operations or supply chain management · Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, building and managing objects in Oracle databases · Knowledge of last mile parcel delivery
