Deployment Engineering team Senior Program Manager
Azure is looking for a passionate Senior Program Manager to help it keep up with its customer demand by being part of its Deployment Engineering team, which is responsible for ensuring that sellable capacity is available for Microsoft customers for their workloads. This includes ensuring that the required infrastructure is deployed on-time to meet customer demand, continuously improving the end-to-end performance, and designing the delivery system to meet the scale, speed, and predictability required by the business. This role requires an innovative individual who can provide thought leadership in the development of next generation server and network deployment systems and processes. If you love to dig into infrastructure technologies and data to understand the patterns and bottlenecks in processes, and then use those insights to design automated engineering solutions to optimize them, this role will be a great fit. Program Management: Own accountability and drive program management to deliver cloud infrastructure predictably based on business need Partner with the software engineering teams to identify and implement automation opportunities that will increase the capability to deliver against critical KPIs Identify critical risks to deployment, including demand changes and supplier challenges, and develop automated solutions to mitigate those risks Develop prototypes to enable the creation of next generation systems and automation, to enable a 10x growth in throughput while reducing cycle time and variation
BS in Engineering or Computer Science 10 years of combined experience in one or more of the following disciplines: hardware/software project management, work in technical infrastructure and operations planning, product management, large-scale distributed systems. 7+ years of experience leading process engineering and/or implementing automation systems Preferred Qualifications: Strong technical expertise in Compute or Network related technologies. Experience in working in or supporting a datacenter environment. Experience around software-based automation and large data analytics. Proven experience
