Sr. Program M anager, Renewables This role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing renewable energy projects for Microsoft's Cloud and Infrastructure Organization (CI+O). Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of renewable energy procurement, energy markets, finance, and policy .
Key responsibilities : Support renewable energy team in defining strategy and executing on strategy. Source, negotiate, manage renewable energy projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings goals. Develop/Refine financial models to analyze renewable energy project bids economics. Contribute to identifying partners to scale renewable energy procurement in smaller markets, particularly APAC. Work with third parties to develop and monitor analytics tools for portfolio analysis (both renewable energy and energy positions). Support preparation of
Knowledge, experience and skills: Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, mechanical engineering, sustainability 5+ years of experience in energy project management 5+ years of experience in wholesale and retail power markets Advanced proficiency in negotiating, reading and writing contractual agreements and modeling tools Ability to relocate to Redmond, WA area Growth mindset with problem-solving skills Preferred, not required: Master's degree in economics, finance business administration, mechanical engineering, sustainability 5+ years of experience in renewables project management for procurement
