This role will be responsible for managing energy regulation and policy for Microsoft's Cloud and Infrastructure Organization (CI+O). Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of energy markets, rates, regulation, and policy.

Key responsibilities: Work with internal and external stakeholders to quantify Microsoft's exposure, related to changing regulation and policy Lead development of regulatory engagements by leveraging regional energy teams to effect positive outcomes from Microsoft Plan, design and implement an overall regulatory and policy strategy, engaging at the local, state, and federal levels Develop, recommend and implement a global regulatory strategy to support Microsoft's cost and carbon targets Analyze industry trends, policy, and regulations to proactively identify opportunities to optimize our energy
Knowledge, experience and skills: 7+ years of experience in energy-related fields Experience in developing regulatory and policy position in power markets Ability to clearly articulate risks and complex risk management solutions to senior leadership Knowledge of wholesale and retail power markets Proven success in developing and executing upon large, complex initiatives Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage teams Growth mindset with advanced problem-solving skills
