Amazon is seeking a highly intelligent, self-motivated, and creative public relations professional to join our PR team in Seattle. As a PR Specialist, you will work with the Alexa PR team and key business leaders to imagine, develop and execute communications programs that highlight our work with third-party developers and device makers. Core Job responsibilities: · Support PR campaigns and launches that demonstrate how developers are building and innovating with Alexa that drives coverage in business and tech outlets · Collaborate with other companies utilizing Alexa to develop and execute joint PR programs · Partner with the product and marketing teams to develop and review external material · Own the creation of material including blog posts, press releases and pitches · Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with relevant media. · Successfully manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges
· Bachelor’s degree · 4-5 years of technology PR experience · Experience managing media relationships · Experience working with third-party companies to coordinate joint PR programs · Strong judgment· An entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently and autonomously · Outstanding attention to detail, understanding of technology, and ability to communicate complex topics effectively · Passionate about excellence in writing and verbal communications · Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
