Understanding our customer's current intent and long term propensities powers majority of customer marketing in Amazon. The Customer Targeting team develops and owns the systems that record and vend customer behaviors, manage customer segments and online targeting under extreme latency and throughput requirements. With over 300 teams dependent on our services, we're a core platform that drives customer facing features across Amazon websites. The Customer Targeting team matches content to customers across all of Amazon's businesses and channels. Our systems operate at a massive scale and rely heavily on data aggregation, data mining, and machine learning. These techniques allow us to provide a high degree of accuracy in getting the right content to the right customer - and driving significant increases in our business objectives as a result. · BS in Computer Science or related technical field (MS a plus). · Strong technical skills and the ability to dive deep · Demonstrated project management skills across multiple stakeholders. · Proficient in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers. · 6+ years of relevant work experience. · 2+ years of people management experience.· Master’s degree and/or PhD preferred in mathematics, computer science, or related discipline. · Experience in distributed systems, data mining, or machine learning in a commercial setting. · Experience with running high throughput
