Amazon Softlines is looking for a talented, customer-obsessed Senior Category Merchant Manager (CMM) to help shape the future of the third-party marketplace for the Shoes and Luggage categories. The CMM role offers the unique opportunity to own a sizable portion of the Shoes and Luggage category P and Ls while also driving large scale, high visibility projects across different Amazon teams. The CMM will also drive business development efforts to grow third-party selection and improve supplier experience. The Senior Category Merchant Manager will be responsible for the following: · Work closely with leadership on planning and business strategy, drive best-in-class customer and supplier experience, and maximize unit and GMS growth through timely analysis and action · Identify and lead new supplier partnerships, manage key suppliers on an ongoing basis and enhance the overall supplier experience with better self-service and reporting resources · Automate and scale the category level growth
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field · 5+ years’ experience in product management, vendor/partner management, or finance is required · Excellent analytical and data-mining aptitude, coupled with strong Microsoft Excel skills · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Proven track record collaborating successfully with internal and external partners · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to deal with ambiguous problems · Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail· MBA
