The Amazon Home Improvement team is looking for an analytic, self-starting, and engaging Senior Vendor Manager who will be responsible for driving business inputs across a rapidly growing category. The role is highly collaborative and will span internal and external stakeholders across supply chain, senior leadership, and program management teams. We focus on creating viable, long term business strategies that drive value for both Amazon and our vendors. This role will play a key role in delivering the next evolution of high value growth for the category by innovating on behalf of our customers, to offer a best in class shopping experience never before delivered online. A successful candidate will have an adept ability to create data driven buying decisions and an innate ability to be nimble in the planning and re-planning process as inputs change. Precise communication (both written and verbal) and the skills to navigate challenging negotiations will be critical in one’s ability to deliver
· Bachelor's degree · 5+ years in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis and/or marketing · 2+ years negotiation experience · Proficient in Excel· Track record of taking ownership and driving results · Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; strong writing and speaking skills · Ability to think both strategically and tactically with good attention to detail · Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation · Proven analytical skills · MBA
