The Operations Finance team is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst to support our global logistics cost and and economic modeling. The Finance Controllership team is responsible for finance support related to all payment and accounting activities in the transportation space. We partner closely with transportation business units and tech teams as they work to continually refine and scale the business to keep pace with Amazon's rapid growth. Along with our partners in Accounting, we are responsible for closing the books on NA Transportation shipments. This specific role requires an analyst who has the ability to develop insights using activity based costing, econometrics, and statistics. This role will work in a dynamic environment working with some
· BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering and/or similar discipline with analytical bias · · Understanding of Activity Based Costing concepts · · 2+ years of relevant experience in positions that require analysis, including internships · · Prior experience working across teams and large organizations · · Strong communication skills · · Experience performing financial and ad-hoc analysis using Excel · · Strong Excel skills (pivots, index match, look-ups, etc.) · · Proven SQL ability (query writing, updating, validation) · · Ability to travel; up to 10% travel expected·
