Experienced, collaborative Event Operations Manager sought to join Amazon Web Services' (AWS) Global Events Team. In this role, you will design, build, and implement systems and tools to drive process improvements within our vendor partnership work flow. This position will work closely with the Global Events Team, procurement, AWS Security (AppSec), and the legal, risk, and tax teams on the contracting phase of on-boarding vendors for our events. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams to proactively remove roadblocks. In this new role on the team, you will drive high-visibility and strategic process improvement initiatives. From creating runbooks, intake forms, and vendor catalogs, to developing processes, documentation and trainings, to driving implementation across functional teams, you will need to be equally comfortable drilling in to business requirements as to understanding the architecture and technical schemes of a vendor provided service, product, or tool. · 10+ years of business/event operations and/or project management experience. · Event management experience/knowledge. Experience working on, or supporting event teams.
