Amazon Web Services is seeking a talented, self-directed virtual events manager to join our Major Events Team. As a virtual events manager, you will be responsible for driving the planning process and execution for very large virtual events in the Americas region. This role requires superior project management, time management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be extremely detail-oriented and have hands-on experience in planning, producing, and promoting virtual events. Key Responsibilities: · Build a rolling 12-month virtual events calendar aligned to campaigns, key programs, and business objectives · Create comprehensive event project plans, conduct regular checkpoints with deliverable owners, escalate risks and challenges appropriately and ensure event is delivered on time and on budget · Manage agency relationships and production of virtual events to execute events at the highest level · Drive creation of live, recorded, and on-demand event content · Lead
· Minimum 5 years of events marketing program management experience · Experience that demonstrates ability to create new, virtual event programs from the ground up · Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to deliver events on time and on budget · Ability to deliver virtual events across time zones and geographies · Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal · Highly organized and detail oriented · Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology or a relevant field of study. · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role. ·
