The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Operations Center (SOC) Response Operations Team manages fast-paced physical security operations of AWS assets across the globe. The SOC Response Operations Team employs physical security strategies while responding to physical security events affecting or threatening AWS physical infrastructure, personnel, operations, and assets worldwide. We are seeking an experienced manager to lead SOC operations and Support Engineers in conducting bar-raising security operations across the globe during the weekend and select days of the week. The ideal candidate will be an experienced manager with technical aptitude, project management expertise, and developing and leading team members. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment, operates at a high level of autonomy, and is a creative problem solver. · Bachelor’s degree in security discipline or related field · 5+ years management experience · 3+ years of project management experience and demonstrated knowledge of program management best practices · 5+ years security experience · 3+ years of experience in a security operations center or similar environment · 2+ years of experience with managing operational escalations or processes · Ability to work any shift within the 24/7 operation; including nights, holidays and weekends · · Graduate degree in security discipline or related field · Prior experience working with AWS technologies/services
