Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented Senior Contracts Manager to support Amazon Web Services, a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. AWS is as the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry, providing IT infrastructure services, such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, message queuing, and more. This experienced contract manager will be responsible for end-to-end contract management, including working with attorneys to verify compliance with the applicable laws, regulations, and contract terms and conditions. A successful candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. A strong candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Familiarity with technology and cloud industry or experience with customer support and abuse response are pluses
· 5+ years of contracts management experience · Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail· Experience with regulatory compliance, including managing regulatory relationships · Ability to demonstrate great judgment even in ambiguous situations · Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams · Ability to build rapport with and earn trust of business partners · Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines · Experience with process control and improvement
