Amazon's Legal Departmetn is looking for a talented and motivated Trade Compliance Specialist in Seattle to support Amazon Web Services, a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more. The successful candidate will join the AWS Legal Regulatory Compliance team and focus on international trade matters (i.e., sanctions, customs, export control, anti-boycott, and other). This is an exciting and varied role that encompasses a variety of tasks including the development and implementation of compliance procedures, review of regulatory obligations, and partnering with colleagues and business clients to deliver critical projects. The successful candidate must: · Have strong prior work experience in a professional setting, a cooperative attitude, and excellent organizational skills;
· 5+ years of prior work experience or a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and 2+ years of post-J.D. work experience · Bachelor's degree required· Prior work experience with a law firm, corporate legal or compliance department or government agency · Prior experience in regulatory compliance including developing and implementing compliance processes and policies · Prior experience with project management · Prior experience with contracts management and drafting · Prior experience with regulatory filings and reports
