Amazon is seeking a State and Local Senior Business License Tax Analyst to join its domestic business license team. The Amazon Tax Department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical and strong communication skills are essential. This role will be responsible for state and local business license/business tax filings to ensure Amazon is compliant with state, local and other jurisdictional requirements. Primary responsibilities may include: · Manage team members while coaching/mentoring others cross-functionally and within the team. · Prepare business license filings and supporting documentation in accordance with state and local regulations for a variety of business activities · Ensure correct fees for licenses are calculated, requested and paid to the appropriate jurisdictions · Maintain business license calendar and other controls for new filings and renewals · Work with onsite personnel to ensure licenses are posted at physical locations
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems or related field · 4+ years of business license experience with exposure to supporting audits and managing/coaching others · Accounting experience in Oracle or other financial accounting systems· Detail-oriented, organized and able to deliver on tight timelines · Strong communication skills - both oral and written · Ability to champion and implement process improvements · Highly motivated, hardworking, and able to work in a fast paced environment · Able to clearly and concisely interface with all levels of management · Able
