Amazon is seeking an experienced State and Local Indirect Tax Audit Manager to join its State and Local Tax Audit Team. The Amazon Tax Department is a fast-paced, results driven, team-focused, dynamic environment and is looking for an individual to assist in developing and implementing world class audit practices. The geography scope includes the United States with indirect taxes with a focus on sales tax, use tax, gross receipts taxes, and regulatory fees (i.e. tire fees/e-waste fees). This position will be involved in all aspects of management of indirect tax audit function across various business activities including data centers, fulfillment/distribution centers, logistics/transportation/delivery, administrative offices, and multiple entrepreneurial start-ups. The individual will work with a high level of independence, but will need to coordinate with others across multiple functions from a state and local tax planning, process improvement, and compliance perspective.
