Amazon has a unique opportunity for a self-motivated, creative, and customer-obsessed public relations professional to join our PR team in Seattle. As a PR Specialist for Amazon Devices and Services, you will work with key business leaders to imagine, develop and execute communications programs that drive consumer awareness of and engagement with Amazon Alexa. The right candidate will have experience in consumer PR and be expected to think and act both strategically and tactically. This candidate will be able to work fast, manage multiple priorities, demonstrate strong judgement and attention to detail, take ownership of consumer media programs that promote Alexa as a service, and support communications colleagues around the world. Core job responsibilities include: · Support PR campaigns that demonstrate the value and utility of Alexa, and drive consumer media coverage (print, broadcast and online) throughout the year · Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop storytelling
· Bachelor’s degree · 5+ years consumer PR experience · Exceptional verbal and written communication skills · Track record of building and managing consumer media relationships that resulted in positive coverage · Experience working with consumer technology companies or products · Outstanding attention to detail and bias for action, as well as an understanding of technology and the ability to effectively communicate complex topics · Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames · An entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently and autonomously · Thrives in a collaborative
