Amazon Web Services seeks a self-motivated, high-judgement communications professional to manage the AWS Speaker Certification program and provide support to the Seattle-based AWS US PR team. The right candidate will possess excellent communications skills, a proven track record of managing communications programs, a vision for identifying gaps in processes, and be willing to think big to envision new ways of getting things done. The PR and Speaker Certification Program Specialist will partner with the AWS PR team to manage the AWS Speaker Certification program, which trains AWS employees to speak externally on behalf of the company. This requires managing an eLearning portal, trouble-shooting issues, working with employees across the company, grading certification tests, and handling escalations. In addition, you will be responsible for sending out the AWS daily coverage report, developing briefing documents, supporting the PR team with tracking its activities in Salesforce, and conducting
· Bachelor’s degree · Minimum of four years of relevant work experience · Proven organizational skills and attention to detail · Excellent verbal and written communications skills · Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment · The ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously · Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job · Experience with Salesforce · Creativity and bias for action · Outstanding attention to detail · The ability to efficiently manage and solve problems and challenges
