The global accounting organization supports Amazon’s financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, and transfer pricing activities. In addition, the organization has global business launches for Amazon’s consumer products, digital initiatives, merchant, operations, logistics, payments, and cloud computing lines of business. Amazon’s accounting group offers opportunities in Legal Entity and Intercompany, Accounting Policy and Reporting, Operations and Capital, Transportation, Payments and Merchant Services, Retail Operations, Digital, and AWS Accounting. This position will be responsible for supporting mergers and acquisitions (M and A) accounting processes and valuations, including valuation modeling of Amazon’s stock purchase warrant investments and intangible assets acquired in a business combination for our financial reporting and tax compliance purposes. · Degree in accounting or related field with sufficient experience to sit for the CPA exam (a CPA license is not required for this position). · 5+ years of work related experience with financial reporting and internal controls. · Experience in financial statement analysis and financial modeling. · CPA (not required to be considered) · Public Accounting experience (Big 4) or experience with large global public company. · Excellent understanding of financial statement analysis and financial modeling. · Solid understanding of ASC Topic 805, 815. · Experience working with a fast-paced, high-tech start-up
