Amazon’s financial accounting team is searching for a Business Intelligence Analyst who consistently exceeds expectations, thrives in a challenging workplace, and actively contributes to our talented team. This role is data driven – we need someone who can review our current infrastructure, isolate improvement opportunities, help us think big about what to consider in terms of accuracy, scalability management, and long term automation. The global accounting organization supports our financial reporting and internal control, as well as new business launches for consumer products. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will work with our consumer accounting teams to create analytical tools that will ultimately be a key to understanding our business. You will leverage our data to drive operational efficiencies, provide key data-driven insights, enable new opportunities and innovate on behalf of accounting customers. KEY
- 4+ years hands on analytics work - Bachelor’s degree in information systems, math, computer science, finance, engineering, -statistics, or related discipline is required - Proven analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases - Proficiency in SQL required and fluency in R, Python preferred - Strong skills in Excel as well as other data visualization tools like Tableau, QuickSight, etc. - Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting solutions - Strong communication and data presentation skills, including
