The AWS Startup team is seeking an experienced events manager to build and produce global events that help startup customers connect, and also drive awareness and adoption of AWS. You will take the lead on event strategy, planning, and logistics. Often working with cross-functional teams, you’ll gain consensus and secure deliverables from individuals inside and outside of the organization to create an outstanding experience for customers. Measuring, analyzing, and reporting on results will be critical to continually raising the bar, exceeding customer expectations, delivering results, and providing guidance and recommendations for future improvement. Ideally, you are someone that has experience working with founders and executives at top startup companies and can engage with leaders with grace and style. · 3+ years experience developing and executing high-tech customer events · A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent additional experience· Proven track record of operational excellence in event management · Experienced at measuring, analyzing, and reporting results · Solid written communication skills (writing, editing, proofreading) · Ability to travel 25-50% of the time · Works autonomously, balance multiple initiatives running in parallel, and proactively solve problems · Experience using Salesforce or comparable lead/contact management systems · Experience using Marketo or comparable automated
