Microsoft Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) has an immediate opening for an experienced attorney to join the Global Commercial and Field Group (GCFG) team supporting Consumer and Device Sales (CDS) in the US. The CDS business is one of Microsoft's largest sales organizations and is responsible for the licensing of Windows, IoT, and Azure Sphere solutions and the sale of Microsoft consumer products, including Surface, Xbox, Office, and Windows, through its partner channel. The role is based in Bellevue, Washington. If you are interested in supporting organizations dedicated to empowering people and organizations to achieve more, and would like to have a broad practice covering marketing, device sales, readiness, operations, compliance, and competition work (on both the programmatic and transactional fronts) for Microsoft products and services, this could be a great fit for you!

Serve as a trusted advisor and legal business partner providing strategic, business-minded support for consumer and device sales (CDS) marketing, retail, and sales groups in the US, in conjunction with the related business partners; Structure, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of transactional documents relating to the sales, licensing, and marketing of Microsoft products and services; Develop localized programs, in tandem with corporate-wide policies, processes, and resources to help grow the CDS business compliantly and in alignment with the global strategy; Collaborate with various legal department
J.D. with excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school and at least 4+ years' experience as a commercial transactions attorney in the sales, marketing and licensing areas, with experience in providing sales and marketing advice, drafting distribution, technology and other commercial agreements, and reviewing marketing programs; Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills combined with the ability to think strategically, and the desire to establish a strong advisory relationship with business clients; Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in
