Amazon is looking for an experienced Global Export Compliance Manager who will be responsible for providing global export compliance leadership. In this critical role, you will manage a team working to develop, implement, and integrate an Export Compliance and Controls Program that spans Amazon. This role will encompass a broad range of regulatory compliance subjects, including: Export Compliance, Sanctions, Deemed Exports, and all related Export Compliance Governance requirements across AWS’s global footprint. You will interact with Legal, Tax, Development/Engineering Services, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other internal businesses and external stakeholders to drive global export compliance. PRINCIPAL DUTIES In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of highly qualified export compliance
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution · 15+ years of experience in trade compliance with focus on export controls · Experience managing a team of Export Professionals · Experience with off shore R and D and technology transfer licenses · Experience with M and A Due Diligence including disclosures and resumption of service and support requests · Multi-national experience with a US or technology blue chip company is necessary · Experienced with US Export Administration Regulations, especially as they relate to encryption and telecommunications · Knowledge and experience with ITAR controls
