Meetings and Events is a growing team, with a mission to build and deploy frictionless meeting and event experiences for our customers across Amazon corporate offices globally. Meetings and Events is looking for a customer-obsessed System Development Engineer to join the team and help us develop the next generation meeting experiences. Meetings and Events develops the meeting room standards for Amazon’s corporate offices. We operate the meeting experience lab where new hardware and software is tested and evaluated. We design systems using a combination of 3rd party hardware (Cisco, Biamp, Crestron, Samsung etc.) and Amazon hardware (Echo) and products (Amazon Chime, Alexa for Business, AWS services). We write code and configurations that allow all of these to deployed and supported at Enterprise scale. In this role you will: · Participate in customer outreach via surveys, open houses, observations and workshops to understand our customer · Identify opportunities to improve the meeting experience
· 5+ years of AV system development engineering experience · Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience) · Experience deploying and supporting audiovisual systems and devices including control systems, video transmission and switching, audio conferencing · Strong attention to detail skills · Strong written communication and technical writing skills · Enjoys troubleshooting and testing · Experience with Dante and AES67 audio design and configuration · Experience writing and editing in Python, Lua, JSON, XML · Experience working as a hardware product engineer ·
