Come join the Core Commerce Platform's Omnichannel + Edge services team and make a big impact on Microsoft's hardware businesses! The services you will build will enable both our consumer and commercial customers worldwide to buy Surface, Xbox and other hardware products directly from Microsoft. We already generate billions of dollars of revenue for the company today via this channel, and the new services we are building will drive the next wave of hardware revenue growth through it. Our team is responsible for enabling the transactions of hardware products within Microsoft's global marketplaces accessed from Windows devices, Xbox, Microsoft online store, Microsoft retail stores and from various third-party retailers. Our charter is to provide Microsoft direct consumers, commercial customers, and retail partners with an adaptive omnichannel commerce experience that includes capabilities such as buying products online and shipping to destinations worldwide or picking up at any of our fast-growing
Responsibilities: • Implement new services while simultaneously extending our existing shared marketplace services • Design, develop, test, and ship technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies (Autopilot, Azure Service Fabric, Azure Redis and CosmosDB, Azure BLOBs and Tables, COSMOS, Power BI etc.)
Basic qualifications: • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline • 1+ years programming experience in C#, .NET Preferred Qualifications: • Expertise in building and operationalizing large scale distributed micro services that have a global footprint across multiple data centers • Experience with storage and cache offerings such as Azure Tables, BLOBs, CosmosDB, Redis • Experience building Autopilot and Azure based services • Experience working through the development of 1.0 services/platforms. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
