Experience (CPEX) team Packaging Laboratory Technician
Amazon is looking for a highly-motivated Packaging Laboratory Technician to join our Customer Packaging Experience (CPEX) team in Seattle, WA (Rainier Valley). This position is primarily responsible for testing packages in accordance with documented laboratory processes that simulate the Amazon fulfillment network. They are also responsible for reviewing 3rd party test reports from other labs, recording test results, and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders regarding testing. These tests are part of the Frustration Free Packaging Program, and help Amazon validate when a product can be safely shipped without the need for additional packaging. This position is within the Sustainability organization and the work directly impacts global packaging reduction goals. Packaging Lab Technicians also support other various packaging and sustainability requests, including limited travel to fulfillment centers and corporate offices. · Must be able to lift up to 49lbs and team lift 50 -100 lbs · Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation and standard operation procedures · Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate with external and internal customers, primarily in English, but also to use basic translation tools. · Previous experience with testing in an industrial laboratory environment or quality control testing. · Previous experience with ISTA Test Methods · Previous experience with Packaging Design and Failure Analysis · Previous experience with CAD Tools, particularly Artios and Solidworks
