MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE Entity: Amazon Web Services, Inc., an Amazon.com Company Title: Support Engineer IV Worksite: Seattle, WA Position Responsibilities: Own the design, implementation, operations, and support of large-scale databases that are crucial to the successful Database operation. Support and administer various database platforms for performance critical, highly available, massively concurrent, distributed systems on a UNIX/Linux platform, including participating in weekend coverage. Support various layers of databases, including system architecture, operating systems, and hardware, storage, and network configurations. Troubleshoot complex technical problems, and assess and mitigate risks by conducting performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning using Linux, system calls, memory management, and program debugging. Establish and maintain security and integrity controls, and formulate and monitor policies, procedures, and standards relating to data
Position Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or as a Database Analyst or Coordinator, Information Systems Manager, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and three years of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: Experience
