As the Internal Communications Specialist for Employee Services (ES), you will be responsible for managing a suite of programs and vehicles targeted at aligning and informing our team’s global employee base, which includes 3000+ Amazonians from front-line associates to senior leaders. A key focus in 2019 will be to build out self-service materials to promote writing capabilities so process and service owners feel confident communicating changes to the HR organization and impacted Amazonians. Other key responsibilities include: managing our biannual All Hands meetings and Town Hall Q and As, creating strategic content for regional monthly all hands, and managing the organizational wiki. This role partners with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and requires a willingness and ability to grow into a position of influencing senior leaders. · BA in Journalism, Communications, PR or equivalent · Passion for internal communications with 5-8 years of experience· Ability to manage large-scale events across multiple geographies and time zones · Proven ability to think big and stretch the bounds of what is possible with an eye towards evolving these vehicles and/or creating new ones where gaps exist · Executive communications experience or strong desire to grow in this area (channel your inner CEO!) · Ability to influence across all levels of the organization, including senior leaders · Ability to find compelling stories in unlikely places
