Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeking a Principal Compensation Consultant who will be responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to develop, lead and achieve compensation objectives aligned to a complex and dynamic business model and to assist, in variable incentive compensation plan design consultation. This position will be responsible for managing the planning, design and administration of the organization's baseline and incentive compensation policies and programs for various groups within AWS. The incumbent will take an active role in formulating the on-going compensation philosophy for AWS and ensure competitive and equitable pay practices and structures that balance risk and reward. Basic Qualifications • Minimum of 10 years experience in finance, compensation or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices. • A Bachelor’s degree is required. • Highly proficient in Excel; familiar with Peoplesoft. • Extremely strong analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, leading and auditing work. • Highly detailed driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture •Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret and analyze data. •Excellent written and oral communication skills
