Amazon International Expansion legal team is looking for a talented attorney to manage cutting-edge international legal work in support of our global retail businesses. As part of our team, you will work with the International Expansion business team to develop innovative ways to grow and move selection across Amazon’s global websites and beyond. You will be an integral part of the business teams you support, giving input on business and strategy in addition to providing day-to-day legal counsel on a broad range of international commercial and regulatory matters. In collaboration with lawyers around the world, you will develop innovative solutions to legal questions and regulatory challenges and help chart our course in areas of law that are only starting to coalesce. In addition to structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial transactions and business structures, you will help resolve issues that arise in commercial relationships. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues
· with 5+ years as a practicing attorney, with at least two of those years at a top law firm, and preferably some portion of that experience in commercial transactions or technology · JD or international equivalent · Membership in good standing in at least one state or foreign bar · Strong academic credentials · Flexible work schedule to accommodate international time zones · Some domestic and international travel may be required · Experience in analyzing and synthesizing laws across multiple countries. · Hands-on project management experience, including excellent organizational skills, the ability
