Come be a part of our effort to create innovative ways to motivate our global sales team by helping them to understand their Microsoft Incentive Compensation plan. The role of Training Manager reports into the Worldwide Incentive Compensation (WWIC) team and is responsible for leading the overall effort to ensure salespeople understand how they are compensated for driving revenue and usage growth for Microsoft. The Training Manager is responsible for insuring that our sellers have adequate resources to understand their incentive compensation plans and quota. You would be responsible for developing and implementing through multiple channels the training strategy to support new and existing programs and incentives for Microsoft's global sales team. You would also work closely with our WWIC field team, incentive compensation tools, and web properties to deliver impactful content. Responsibilities include: Leading a virtual team across compensation, finance, HR, segment, and field sales teams to land training and communications programs to support the launch and maintenance of sales compensation plans Working with business leaders to develop an approach for communicating incentives to their specific teams Delivering communications and training collateral to sellers and stakeholders at scale Developing sales manager and seller training programs with the Worldwide Incentive Compensation team Creating concrete steps to address the top issues or concerns working with our Help
Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of marketing and/or compensation experience Strong writing skills Ability to translate complex concepts into jargon-free, seller-friendly language Ability to deliver projects on time and on budget Confidence in championing ideas but with the finesse to push gently and win support Strong affinity for team work, collaboration and idea sharing Eagerness to learn and develop incentive compensation and audience expertise Ability to do some limited travel, approximately twice a year for about one week each
