The Dynamics Fraud Protection (DFP) team is building a highly sought-after cloud service to help merchants fight e-commerce fraud. This pioneering new service will be a part of Dynamics 365 which is one of the fastest growing businesses at Microsoft. DFP is designed to help ecommerce merchants drive down payment fraud, increase revenue, and improve the shopping experience for customers all in real-time using cutting edge AI. The DFP engineers need a trusted advisor who can provide practical, creative advice on issues related to cloud services, data privacy, intellectual property and banking and payment systems. Your work with the DFP team will be different every day and you will encounter unique and challenging legal matters as you help build a business that will be used by merchants worldwide

Primary duties Act as front-line legal counsel to engineering teams creating Dynamics cloud solutions. Provide creative and proactive counseling on a broad range of complex legal, business and policy issues for engineering and business clients engaged in implementing Microsoft's Dynamics strategy that includes a focus on artificial intelligence and big data. Use independent judgment to evaluate and counsel on a range of legal issues, including novel ones relating to cutting edge technologies and use cases. Drive deep engagement with business clients to understand business strategies, timelines,
Qualifications JD or equivalent from an ABA accredited law school, excellent academic credentials, and an active license to practice law; 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in the technology industry, including solid expertise in privacy, cloud services and intellectual property; Expertise in banking and payment systems is a plus; Outstanding analytical skills; Bias for action, with the ability to think strategically and find creative solutions to legal issues, willingness to embrace smart risks in complex and ambiguous situations; Process oriented with strong communication skills and ability
