Are you looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced, innovative company? Come make history with Amazon’s legal department. We are looking for talented and motivated international trade attorneys with a focus on export controls to support our rapidly growing and evolving global Retail and Operations businesses. You will be responsible for counseling the businesses on a broad range of strategic export-related regulatory and commercial matters, including in advancing pioneering business initiatives and in developing cutting edge technologies. You will work directly with the businesses you support, serving as counsel and providing strategic input on export compliance programs. You will collaborate with attorneys across the globe to develop innovative international trade, transportation and supply chain solutions. You will provide day-to-day guidance on export regulations, and advise on upcoming regulatory changes and enforcement trends. You will employ creative approaches to resolving issues

· 4-6 + years a (with at least two years at a law firm) in trade matters, with an emphasis on export controls · Juris Doctor or international equivalent · Membership in good standing in at least one state or foreign bar · Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally, as needed · Experience with cutting-edge technologies, including disciplines such as artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous systems, and aerospace · Knowledge and experience in other international trade areas (e.g., imports, economic sanctions) · A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is a plus · Hands-on
