The mission of the Cloud Advocacy team is to win the hearts and minds of Developers and IT Operators to secure the future of the platform. The Cloud Advocacy team is charged with enabling a healthy ecosystem for technical communities targeting Azure. Each team maps to a set of Azure services and open source technologies relevant to that technical audience. You'll be responsible for supporting logistical operations across all global Cloud Advocacy and first party Microsoft events, in some cases managing a vertical program (i.e. student, tours, a technical community, etc ). We will work closely with the Cloud Advocacy content and community program manager teams while owning our unique processes for vetting, planning, executing, and evaluating the success of events. Our team is committed to open sourcing everything – including event best practices, strategies, wins, and losses. We will build and maintain positive relationships with community and event professionals across platforms and companies,

Understand our strategic business goals and approach; share with others when opportunities arise. Drive operational excellence across all events in Cloud Advocacy. Help us stay organized and collaborative with the rest of the Developer Relations organization. Build the collaborative processes and tools the Cloud Advocacy team needs to stay coordinated on events . Coordinate with Cloud + AI Marketing on events, sponsorships, and roles/responsibilities with on-site activations. Help Cloud Advocates identify and connect with community activities in local regions as they travel. Help roll up event
Progressive experience working in events, specifically event operations Proven track record of organizing and distributing information via multiple channels and methods Exceptional cross-organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to gracefully navigate, listen, synthesize, influence, deescalate and re-route issues across the org chart; comfortable asking for help from leadership Highly motivated self-starter who relies on strong sense of self and work ethic to produce quality and quantity  Committed to solving problems; seeks sustainable solutions vs isolated fixes A high
