Business Manager – Desktop and Mobile Minecraft is one of the most popular video games of all time, with more than 176 million copies sold. Minecraft inspires players to create together, resulting in one of the most passionate gamer communities in the world. We are looking for an ambitious, data-driven individual with a passion for achieving high impact, high quality results to join our business and strategy team. As a Business Manager for Minecraft for Desktop and Mobile you will be responsible for driving growth in the Minecraft franchise as well as driving early engagement. This role requires strong business chops, a CEO mindset, the ability to set strategy and direction to help execution in collaboration with a cross-functional teams. Player Acquisition: Fuel player acquisition by planning for merchandising, offers, pricing, bundles, business model, paid media spend, as well as driving product strategy. Product Experience and Strategy: Guide investments in the product experience to drive a step change in user acquisition, onboarding experience and early engagement. Business model Transformation: Lead the business model transformation for mobile and desktop offerings leading to product simplification and player growth. Research and testing: Understand customer behaviors, competitive landscape and usage on Desktop and mobile to
BA/BS or advanced degree such an MBA with academic background in marketing or finance. 8+ yrs. of relevant work experience preferably with a top-tier consulting firm with technology focus, gaming industry, or fast paced start-up experience. Mobile and Desktop gaming, product management, player acquisition and customer lifecycle management experience is a strong plus.
