Amazon's Pricing Research team is seeking an experienced Senior Research Scientist to help develop models and methodologies that will support effective marketplace experiences for our customer. This Senior Scientist will work with business stakeholders, management and other data analysts, scientists and economists to create analytic models that address pricing challenges. They will also test the effectiveness of their models through simulation, analysis of historic data and performing and analyzing experiments. We are looking for a person who is passionate about working with data to understand how customers respond to different options and how that understanding can be used to create great customer experiences and support Amazon's business goals. - MS in Economics, Management Science, Operations Research, Statistics or related quantitative field. - 3+ years of experience in analytics - Proficiency in R, Python and/or Spark - Demonstrated ability to work independently on the formulation and validation of analytic models to solve business problems. - Written and verbal communication skills to convey insights and results to business partners, fellow scientists and leadership. - PhD preferred - Experience in pricing analytics - Research track record
