Do you have a passion for consumers, brands, food and the desire to build something customers’ love? If yes, we need somebody with your enthusiasm and skills to work as part of the Amazon Go team. We are looking for a talent Research Scientist to join the Demand Planning team for our family of food products (e.g. Ready to Eat, Ready to Heat and Ready to Cook etc.). We develop sophisticated algorithms that involve learning from large amounts of past data, such as actual sales, product rotation, customer behaviors, merchandising activities, promotions, similar products, and product attributes, in order to forecast the demand for our product portfolio across all the selling channels, like Amazon Go and AmazonFresh. You will have an opportunity to work on mathematical problems, with a large element of unpredictability and interact with various of Amazon

· Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or a related quantitative field and 3+ years of industry experience, or a Master’s degree in the related fields with 5+ years of industry experience · 3+ years’ experience building, iterating and validating statistical models · Strong working knowledge of knowledge management, data cleaning, machine learning, and analytics techniques. · Fluency in R, Python or a similar modeling language and in SQL · Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java or C++ · Strong verbal and written communication, influencing and partnership
