Amazon’s Offensive Security Team is looking for a manager for its Penetration Testing team to lead a talented team of engineers tasked with raising the security bar of Amazon through vulnerability discovery, disclosure and mitigation. This role presents the ultimate test of one’s security knowledge, the challenge of building and running a team with high visibility throughout Amazon, and the opportunity to mentor and grow highly talented security engineers. As the leader of the Penetration Testing team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that applications and services developed at and acquired by Amazon are examined for security vulnerabilities, interact with teams throughout Amazon to discuss and disclose findings, and drive mitigation efforts with owners through Information Security and Amazon at large. You’ll be part of an organization focused on positively influencing security culture within Amazon, with the ultimate goal of ensuring the continued safety and security of our customers
• 2+ years experience managing a technical team, preferably in an information security, audit or other related role. • 3-5 years expereince in penetration testing, red teaming, vulnerability management or application security. • Experience with developing software tooling to solve custom problems. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to contribute to briefings, roadmaps, and long-range planning documents. • Bachelors degree in mathematics, computer science, or other engineering discipline • Participant in CTF challenges, bug bounties or similar activities • Standing relationships
