Amazon’s Linehaul Execution team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader to assist in the tactical management and execution of Amazon’s Linehaul movements flowing into and out of our North American Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers and our associated fulfillment network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a huge growth area for Amazon. An ideal candidate has an extensive background in fleet management and leading large scale strategic initiatives within Transportation. S/he has the ability to lead an operational team, pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex logistics challenges
· Bachelor's degree required. · 5+ years fleet management, supply chain, transportation operations · Proven complex problem solving and project management skills · Demonstrable problem-solving, mathematics and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment · Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented work environment · Experience in writing SQL queries and mining databases · Up to 25% travel· MBA · 7+ years fleet management, supply chain, transportation operations · Experience in operations, supply chain, procurement, logistics, engineering, or transportation
