Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) offers a broad set of global compute, storage, database, analytics, application, and deployment services that help organizations move faster, lower IT costs, and scale applications. We are growing quickly and dynamically, including in our global data center footprint. This role is part of the Infrastructure Global Expansion team, which is responsible for our strategy for data center expansion into new countries and geographies. In this role, you will manage a team that is responsible for defining our edge expansions strategy. Responsibilities include: · Owning expansion strategy recommendations · Managing communications and documentation around in-flight expansions · Working with external parties to identify requirements and prospective partnerships to enable new infrastructure launches · Partner with internal teams to develop prioritization, metrics, and processes around expansion · Manage team members who are responsible for detailed deployment plans and strategies
· BA or BS required · 5+ years’ experience driving strategic product or infrastructure decisions · 5+ years’ experience in people management · 5+ years' experience building carrier-grade networks and edge infrastructure· MS, MBA, JD, or other advanced degree · Demonstrated ability to develop a business case for new features or geographic expansions · Experience influencing executive leadership · Demonstrated ability to learn and master new technical subject-matter · Experience working with large, cross-functional teams and driving timelines · Excellent writing ability · Technical proficiency in
